Denture Replacement

What if I cannot have dental implants for my dentures?

In some cases, a dentist may come to the conclusion that a patient’s existing dentures are simply too loose to be realigned or that their jaw cannot cope with the insertion of metal implants, and that the only course of action left open to them is to replace their false teeth. This might also be necessary if the dentures are too damaged to be repaired. The process for having replacing a set of dentures is exactly the same as it was for the original false teeth, but new measurements and impressions will also have to be taken.

What if my dentures have become discoloured?

Sometimes patients may choose to have a set of replacement dentures made if they feel that their own false teeth are looking old or discoloured. New types of dentures and replacement tooth treatments are always being developed, which provide benefits such as a more realistic looking smile, increased comfort and security or longer life. In these cases, patients may even decide to replace undamaged dentures that still fit, if they would prefer a more modern treatment or if they find themselves able to afford the newest products and procedures.
